Ray Michiels opened the Lucky Stars Dance Studio at 4130 Jackson Street Extension, Alexandria, Louisiana, on August 29, 1999 after teaching at Dube Hall, the Bolton P.M. school, and various other studios throughout the city for several years.  Since opening, the studio has seen a steady growth in participation, and as a result many, many folks have come to appreciate and enjoy the art of dancing. The studio offers the residents of central Louisiana the opportunity to learn a variety of dance styles from country western to ballroom to Latin. Those with the competitive spirit also have the opportunity to show their skills on the competitive dance floor through the studio's competitive ProAm and couples dance program.

As a result of the recent growth and popularity of ballroom dancing, we have moved to a larger venue at 1311 Windsor Place, Alexandria, La., just around the corner from our previous location. We now have a 3,000 square foot building with 1,280 square foot dance floor with plenty of room for large classes and plenty of room for our Friday night social dances. To find us drive down Jackson Street Extension to the third signal light after MacArthur goes over Jackson Street. Turn right at Shipley Donuts onto Windsor Place. Go to the end of the block and we are on the right hand side at Windsor and Parliament. See you on the dance floor!
